The Council on Ethics recommends that the exclusion of San Leon Energy Plc be revoked.
San Leon Energy Plc was excluded from the Government Pension Fund Global in 2016 because of the company’s petroleum prospecting in Western Sahara. As the prospecting that led to the exclusion has now ceased, the Council on Ethics recommends that the exclusion of the company be revoked.
The Council submitted its recommendation on 22 October 2021. Norges Bank published its decision to revoke the exclusion of the company on 7 March 2022.
