The Malaysian forest company Samling Global has been excluded from the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global on the grounds of illegal logging and severe environmental damage. The Council on Ethics has assessed the company’s operations in Sarawak (Malaysia) and Guyana.

Samling Global Berhad was delisted in 2012. As the company was no longer investable for the Fund, it was removed from the list of excluded companies. The Council has not reassessed Samling Global’s activities after that point in time.
